Canadian Institute of Forestry  

The Canadian Institute of Forestry has been the national voice of forest practitioners since 1908. Our mission is to advance the stewardship of Canada's forest resources, provide national leadership in forestry, promote competence among forestry professionals, and foster public awareness of Canadian and international forestry issues.

Our membership includes foresters, forest technicians and technologists, educators, scientists and others with a professional interest in forestry. We work in government, industry, research, education and consulting and represent one of the largest professional voices for forestry in Canada.

Sustainable Forest Management Network

The Sustainable Forest Management Network (SFMN or SFM Network) is an incorporated non-profit Canadian research group. SFM is a Network for Centres of Excellence (NCE).With our partners, we fund, plan, conduct, and apply interdisciplinary, university-based research that addresses issues related to sustainable forest management.
